While in college, Lexy developed an interest in emerging blockchain technology and shortly after graduation was hired by Bloq Inc, a leading decentralized finance and enterprise grade blockchain software and services provider.  She was also appointed as the Executive Director of the Chicago Blockchain Center, a public-private non-profit partnership that served as a leading educational resource and ecosystem hub for blockchain and cryptocurrency focused companies in the Chicago/Illinois tech ecosystem.  She conceived of, and had accepted by the State of Illinois, the Illinois Blockchain Initiative: a state of Illinois consortium dedicated to furthering blockchain development in Illinois, and worked as the only non-government affiliated member of the Illinois Department of Innovation and Technology's Blockchain Working Group.

She became, and remains, a regularly invited national and international speaker on blockchain technology.  After four years at Bloq she was selected after a national search by Discover financial Services to assume their new leadership position as Head of Blockchain and Digital Currency Strategy.

After departing from Discover due to a merger with Capitol One where resources for innovation were deprioritized, Lexy began to consider other career opportunities, including private consulting in the emerging technology space. Lexy had previously performed data analytics contract work for the PSCI in their research department and has had a long interest in health care. As the Prodromos Stem Cell Institute enlarges its scope and as the foundation for Regenerative Medicine increases its research profile, she was approached and decided to join our team to direct and streamline these efforts and were thrilled that she chose to take on this new challenge. Her extensive experience in leadership, marketing, operations and development dovetail perfectly with our current and future goals.

AWARDS: She was a Women Tech Founder award recipient in 2018, was selected as a Crain’s Chicago Business 20 in their 20’s, class of 2019, and most recently the Electronic Transaction Association’s 40 under 40 Payments Professionals class of 2022.
