Kenneth D. Candido, MD
Dr. Kenneth D. Candido is Clinical Professor of Anesthesiology and Clinical Professor of Surgery at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago and a nationally recognized leader in pain management. He previously chaired an anesthesiology residency and pain medicine fellowship program in Chicago from 2007–2021 and formerly held key roles at Lenox Hill Hospital, Northwestern University Medical Center, and Loyola University Medical Center, where he served as Chief of the Pain Division and Pain Fellowship Program Director. / Dr. Candido has authored more than 200 peer‑reviewed papers and over 95 textbook chapters on pain control, and has delivered more than 1,000 lectures and continuing medical education programs worldwide. He is actively involved in international stem cell research focused on chronic pain and neurological conditions, including work with pluripotent human mesenchymal stem cells and exosomes for ALS, multiple sclerosis, autism spectrum disorders, and neuropathic pain.
